Adios!

Hellloooooo.

I'm going to be MIA for a few weeks. Things have gotten pretty hectic for me, so I need to cut off all other things (like my blog!) except for school for a few weeks.

What's going down:
- Pathogenic micro. presentation on Thurs.
- Lab final on Thurs.
-Lecture final next week
-GRE in 3 weeks ----YIKESSSS! (study study study)
-Veterinary school grad. applications deadline on Oct. 2nd
- Write statement of purpose
- Get my LORs in order.
-Fall semester starts the 17th (So late!)

Welp, can't you tell I'm busy? Grad school application deadlines have crept up on me and now things are getting frantic. Wish me luck!!! (I desperately need it.)

**I can never stay away from my blog for too long though, so I might post something on a weekend or two :)

Private

I've been debating going private for a while. I've been getting too many creepers.  I can think of pros and cons of staying public and going private. What do you think?

Does anyone even read this blog? (Besides of my 4 regular commenters, of course)

Swimming bulldogs

My own little Fatty hates the water. But who's to blame him? I think I would hate the water too if I was as fat and top heavy as he is with little stubby legs! Baloo takes extra measures to walk as far away from water at the beach as possible:

Thanks to Urban Bulldog, I have found a solution to my water-phobic fatster:

A LIFE VEST!! (found here at PetSmart)

A swimming bulldog is no longer an urban legend.

Ready to go swimming, Fatty?

Haole Tree Trimmer

I found this business card today.

I thought it was hilarious! The guy's face cracks me up.

Too bad I don't have any trees. I would hire him just because of his funny business card.

You're awesome Tommy.

Bored...

...so I made these...

..And handed them out to all my neighbors on the bottom floor of M building!

And I still had a ton left over for a hungry husband.

1/2 c. white sugar
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. vanilla
2 c. butter, softened
1 1/2 c. packed brown sugar
2 pkgs. instant vanilla pudding mix
4 eggs
4 c. semisweet mini chocolate chips

-Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
-Sift together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
-In a large bowl, cream together butter, brown sugar and white sugar.
- Beat in pudding mix until blended. Stir in eggs and vanilla.
-Blend in flour mixture.
-Stir in chocolate chips.
-Drop cookies in spoonfuls and bake for 12 minutes.

**my secret is the pudding mix---- it makes the cookies sooooo soft!***

Date Night!

I've mentioned before how valuable Saturday nights are to me because its the only day I have to spend time with Seth, since our schedules conflict so much during the week. So Saturday nights are our special date nights!

Only this weekend there was a big problem: I picked up a nasty virus! I'd say its one of the worst colds I've had in a while. Friday I was just immovable and lied in bed all day. I hate taking cold medicine because it has such a huge effect on me, so when weighing feeling bad from cold symptoms, or feeling bad from cold medicine, I surprising just live with the symptoms. And for some reason my cold virus decided to make me sound like Darth Vader. This always happens to me when I get sick, and it tends to last for a while. This is especially nice since I'm giving a presentation on Tuesday.

Anyway, I wasn't going to let my cold get in the way of my date night!!! I tried really hard to not contaminate Seth with my germs! (so far he's not getting sick!) I went with Seth to work that day, so he wouldn't have to drive back and pick me up afterward. We went to Lanikai Juice with his client Scott, who he has been working with for 5 years!

We had to get an Acai bowl. And even though I couldn't taste anything, I still enjoyed it.

After we dropped Scott off, we ate dinner at one of our favorites...Wahoos. (Still couldn't taste anything, but I'm sure it was delicious nonetheless). We walked around for a bit, and then saw a movie that Seth has been waiting to see for a while: District 9. I was nervous about seeing it, but I ended up really liking it--even though I couldn't hear much and was feeling pretty horrible at this point. It was so original and awesome!!

Afterwards, I HAD to stop at Menchies!!!!!! HAD TO. I'm a self-proclaimed frozen yogurt addict.

I wish there was a Menchies closer to home.

When we got home, I drugged myself and went to sleep immediately. I am still really glad that Seth and I were able to spend this day together! Saturdays are that much more fun and special when its the only time you have to be with each other. Today was a good day as well--church and ESPN Fantasy Football draft. We got some good teams for this year (Especially mine, hehe).

I can't wait until next Saturday. I am thinking a hike, dinner and more frozen yogurt...??

Yogurt time!

I really wanted some yogurt after work today, so Seth took me to get some.

Can you guess which one was mine?

The problem was that I wanted strawberry, and then decided that I wanted orange, and then blueberry! By then I had so much yogurt! And then I just had to try the cookie dough bites, the cheesecake bites, sprinkles, and strawberries.

It wasn't my fault--don't judge!

**Just a side note: why are all the weird flavors the ones that are fat free?--like mint, lychee, and coconut cream? Such a bummer. Oh well!**

Helooo.

Hello,

Its past 3 am right now, and I am still up.

My apartment has been turned into a lake, from a random toilet leak and from the tub getting backed up and overflowing.

I heave been dealing with this since 8:30 pm, and it keeps flowing, flowing flowing with water.

We are waiting, while maintenance guys try and figure out the problem. They think its from a clog upstairs.

So now I will sit here, and wait for the problem to be fixed, while lovely backed up toilet water continues to flood my place. The sad thing is, is that when this happened earlier today, I thought it was fixed, so I spent over an hour cleaning and bleaching the place. And now its worse. All my work undone.

I think I'll be up a while.

Yours Truly,
The Sleep Deprived.
