Halloween preview

Congratulations---You are privileged to see the preview for my Halloween costume this year....

...and the extent of my nerdiness.  I might have to reconsider our friendship if you don't recognize the costume as a Storm Trooper (ok it's actually a clone trooper, but I'd rather be an evil storm trooper). Isn't the helmet cool? It's got a voice changer inside too. ha!

**note the "high water" legs on the costume--I'm small enough to fit in the kids costume...and it was $20 cheaper. I'll just cut off the feet things on the end!**
Seth's costume is in the making....I'll post more when its finished.

Anyway, I LOVE Halloween. It's my favorite holiday. I mean, who could not love the only day in the year where you walk around looking like an idiot and get FREE CANDY? ..lots and lots of free candy! A bunch of us plan on going down to Honolulu on Halloween to have some fun. I'll let you know how that goes.

HAVE A GREAT HALLOWEEN THIS FRIDAY!

tagged

Dan tagged me on this one.  wahoo!

Basic rules...List 3 joys, 3 fears, 3 current obsessions/collections, 3 surprising facts, and then tag 5 other people. Leave a comment for the people you tag so they know they have been tagged.

Ok...sooooo

3 joys
1. My new family, or Seth. And Baloo and Oreo of course. Seth and I always have so much fun together and we totally just get each other. I love it. We were meant to be together, and I love spending my life with him.
2. God/church. What would I do without this church? And God has given me everything that I have.
3. Dancing. I love learning different polynesian dances. Over the past few years I have learned and performed Tahitian, Maori and Hawaiian dances and I love them all! That is one major thing that I am going to miss when I leave the islands. Especially dancing hula---I feel more in synch with my heritage when I dance hula.
4. Ok I am going to copy Dan and add a fourth----  graduating from college in june is going to be amazing! Counting down the days--- though they seem to be crawling by.....

3 fears
1. Losing Seth
2. Being in a pit of cockroaches. Don't laugh----no joke! ugh. I just shuddered as I thought of that.
3. Not getting everything out of life that I could have

3 current obsessions/collections
1. I collect shells! Or anything from the ocean for that matter. I have to be the person to find it, and it has to be unique. I have found some amazing shells over the past years. My favorite are from the Philippines!
2. I love Juicy Couture. Love it. Though my wallet may not love it....
3. Art! I am taking that art 220 class that you need to graduate, and I thought that I would absolutely hate that class. But....I have fallen in love with everything that we are doing! I'm not completely terrible either!  I am a Rembrandt in the making! Ok not even remotely close.

3 surprising facts
1. I am red/green colorblind. Yes, I can drive ( Red is on top--green is on the bottom). No, you are not invisible if you wear red or green. And no, Christmas isn't confusing for me.
2. I have never seen snowfall
3.  I hate eggs. I will not go near them. gross. The smell makes me gag.

I tag:  Erin N., Emerson J., Elizabeth R., Shaye C., and Heather T.

New job!

Hooray! I got another job today as "Assistant Curator"  of the BYUH museum. Sweet stuff. Pretty much I get to dissect animals sent to the museum from the Honolulu Zoo. I mean, I seriously could not get any busier, but who could pass up that experience?

Lucky Day!

Wahooooooo! The Leonard's truck is in town!!

I only had a few bucks on me, so when I went to go get some amazingly delicious Malasadas, I could only get a few. So I started talking to the worker and telling him that I love Leonards and have been eating their Malasadas as long as I can remember! I went on about how I get so excited when the truck comes since we are never in town to visit their store. This guy must have felt bad for me because when I opened my box of fresh Malasadas, there were 8 inside instead of the 4 that I ordered! SCORE! They've done this a couple of times---I love that truck!

mmmmmmm... I am drooling just looking at this. If you've had these before I'm sure you are too.
