Itouch post!

today I'm posting from my itouch since my computer died. Other than my computer incident, this weekend was good! We got free tickets to go see Monsters vs Aliens in IMAX 3d, which was pretty cool. We were also able to go out to dinner with my grandma in Honolulu, who revealed to me that we have a Whole Foods on the island! Wahooooo! I was only excited because that's where the chefs from Top Chef shop. Yum. I picked up some frog-shaped cookies while I was there. I took a picture, but that will have to be posted when i get my computer back.
Something new is that I'm getting new glasses! I've had the same pair forever and its time for a new prescription since my eyesight is getting worse. I'm excited to pick out the frames!
Church today was fun. Seth taught a great lesson about the organization of the church and the kids loved it! It was sad today though because I realized that some of my good friends are leaving soon. Elizabeth, the primary will never be the same!
We will be having a huge party for everyone soon, I'm sure.
anyway, have a good sabbath everyone!

30 Rock

30 rock is my FAVORITE show--it is soooooo funny! Tina Fey is my hero! She is just awesome, and everything she writes is great! This week's episode was hilarious. When I saw this clip, I laughed until my sides hurt.

I love Liz Lemon!

AGGGHHH!! Seth took my computer in today, and turns out the hard drive needs to be completely replaced. Everything...EVERYTHING on my computer is gone. Included the 4,000+ pictures I had on it.

The funny thing is, is on Monday I thought to myself, "I should back up my computer soon." Welp, never got around to it.

The only good thing is that my computer is on Apple protection plan, so they are going to replace the hard drive for free.

Today is a sad day.

nooooooo!

My laptop broke today! That's pretty much my other brain. Gone. Nooooooooooooooo!

T-minus 15 days

until FREEDOM!

Well, temporary freedom anyway. But freedom nonetheless!!

This year we have a 10 day spring break--whhaaaa? I know, usually its only like 4 or 5 days, but this semester we're under a new schedule thats completely different (and weird I must say). But hey, I'm glad to have 10 days to go on adventures.

But what I'm not looking forward to is the last week of school...where the worlds Unit III exams and finals collide...in the same week! I'm going to have a brain aneurism just thinking about it. Just have to take things one day at a time I guess! And it might be a little easier knowing that we are going to have a blast as soon as it is over!

Anyway, something to mention is that I had a cortisone shot in my arm (and man, did that thing HURT). I had high hopes, but the effects only lasted 3 days---only 3 whopping days! My arm is still, exactly the same--stiff, swollen, and just plain annoying really. So I went back to the doctors ( I say doctors because I have a whole bunch of them that have been working on this together) and they basically just told me that I should keep my arm comfortable and.....well, ..that sucks, sorry. Yup. Nothing more they can do I guess--only God can help me now.

Something else: i found out that Baloo is ticklish today. It is one of the funniest things I have ever seen. He makes a noise that is just hilarious, that is a cross between laughing, choking coughing, and gurgling. I will have to video tape it for everyone to see and make fun of.

And the last bit of news: I decided to sign up for intermediate swimming this summer at BYUH. Anyone want to take it with me so I don't look like a drowning whale all by myself?

Today I love...

This outfit!!

I love everything about it!

Anthropologie, you are just wonderful. Please move to Hawaii. Now.

Finally

Alright folks, I finally made it over to the new Target!!

And it was all that I thought it would be..and more!

It was huge, and had everything! Everything!! I like to call Target the classy Wal- Mart. The clothes are adorable (and cheap!), the bathing suits are so cute (and cheap) and all of their flatware and house decor are just about the cutest things I have every seen (and CHEAP!)

I lingered around all of the cute plates, bowls, cups, and other cute kitchen things and finally just settled on 2 cereal bowls and a cute teal serving bowl, which only ended up costing $4 total.

Here's the cereal bowl:
I love love love the colors!

I would feel guilty buying more since we are moving this year.

I also left with a cute $20 skirt that I fell in love with. Seth fell in love with the prices.

Anyway, I couldn't be happier that Target is here! Even though it is on the completely opposite side of the island.

Love it!.

Happy St. Patricks Day!

Hope everyone had a great St. Patrick's day! I was one of the mean people that went around pinching people who weren't wearing green (sorry about that). Or what I thought was green, anyway. Check this out, this made Seth and I laugh for a good day or so. Love the amateur sketch. Next St. Patrick's Day I want to go to Mobile Alabama.

Chillin' gecko

This little guy decided to chill with me on the beach the other day. He looked pretty comfortable, so I took a picture of him. I'm actually surprised my camera could take a picture that close.

I'm sad.
Will someone I love come and visit me to lift my spirits?

Sunday, March 8, 2009

Ahhh! Today was Stake Conference! I totally forgot and prepared a primary lesson. I even brought popcorn for the movie I was going to have them watch. ugh. Stake Conference was good though. :)

Embarrassing

By the way, today at the zoo we were playing this game where you have to name the type of animal----a picture of a Tarsier came up, and I immediately said "THATS A TARSIER!!"

Someone said: "Man, they look like those animals from Star Wars...what are their names?"
Before they could finish their sentence I blindly shouted "They're EWOKS!"
And someone else said: "Yeah, those guys, from_____"
Me: ENDOR!!
I got a bunch of weird looks.
And I left it at that.

And I didn't mention that I have R2D2 and an Obi Wan Kenobi lego keychains on my car keys. Or a Yoda backpack at home.

Well, at least Seth would be proud.

Watchmen

Has anyone seen the Watchmen movie yet? I love the story of the watchmen, and want to see the movie so bad, but I want to hear about it from someone who's seen it first. Any comments on it?

Days With my Father

Aarean shared this website on her blog. It is very touching and sweet. I love the way the pictures show the emotion of the story. Just scroll down through the pictures to read about them. Take a peek!

Weekend recap

This weekend contained some much-needed fun. It started off with a dream I had Friday night where everything in the world was edible.....I was so disappointed when I woke up--but what an awesome dream! We rented the movie W....which was one of the lamest movies ever. So lame I couldn't even finish it. I watched 30 Rock instead, one of my favorite shows.
Today at the zoo was pretty boring actually. There was only one animal in quarantine, which was unusual. It was only a dove too. Lame! So I spent most of the time there cleaning and measuring out medicine. The only remotely interesting thing I did was feed some mealworms to a Pacific Golden Plover......ehh. Next week should be better. When I got home though, Seth and I went on an easy hike next to Makapu'u beach.
The views were amazing!

I liked this picture until I took a closer look and realized that I look like a FREAK with my crooked arm! Ahhhh I belong in the circus!!! Please pretend that I look normal in this picture.

There was a trail to a lighthouse below, but it was locked and had barbed wire all around it. ( I'm too accident prone to try to get around that.)

The top was pretty awesome. I'd say that this is my favorite view of O'ahu.

My handsome Seth looking for whales:

We actually saw a humpback whale. This was my reaction:

I actually saw one this past Monday when I was out at Laie point for my Animal Behavior class too. Twice in one week! I had actually never seen one before. I'll have to tell my father-in-law. He sees whales out here all the time and couldn't believe that I had never seen one.
It was a good weekend. The only thing that would make it better would be if I dreamed that everything was edible again!! If only that were real....haha.
