What time is it?!?!?!

If any of you haven't noticed, I've worn a blue nike running watch for as long as I can remember. It does everything! It is digital, and was for timing my nightly runs.  I've gotten so used to it over the years, that I never ever take it off, and it practically has become a part of me.  So I was in Primary on Sunday and I was showing one of my girls how easy it is to take off, and the side just snapped off!!  I was completely horrified!! My wrist has since felt so naked and bare! I've been going through watch withdrawls and I keep frickin looking at my wrist all the time.  It's driving me crazyyyyy! I actually taped it together and wore it hanging off my wrist for the last few days until some guy in my physics class commented  on how ghetto it was.  And everytime someone asks me if I know what time it is I look at my wrist and say "UGHHH! I DON'T KNOW!!"  I really hope I get used to my naked wrist soon. lol.

One-pieces are BACK!

This year I have seen so many cute one-piece bathing suits! They totally must be coming back in style and I love all the new designs. I need to have them!! :)

Banana Man Chase

Yesterday I ran the Jamba Juice 5k Banana Man Chase! It was to raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Hawaii and Hawaii Speed and Quickness.

It was really fun! The only lame part was leaving Laie at 5 am....UGH. That was awful. Seth came down to support me and take pictures. The funny part about the race was that there were about 5 people dressed up in banana suits that ran the race! They were given a head start. Only 2 of them were actual athletes...the other guys were just in it for fun. One banana guy "ran" the race on a segway!...so he rolled his lazy butt 5k.

The race was around Ala Moana Beach Park and Magic Island. It was awesome---other than when I almost got trampled in the beginning of the race. haha. There was a guy running in a gorilla suit too..but Seth didn't get a picture.
Overall I did pretty good in the race...I really didn't have enough time to train to be as good of a runner as I used to be...but I finished # 162 out of over 1000 and as #22 in my age group for girls age 20-29. They didn't put up the places other than the top 3, who got free Jamba Juice for a YEAR!! lucky ducks.
Anyway, heres me running before some super-buff old man passed me...

Fatty's 1st birthday

Baloo's birthday was fun! We found some party hats and streamers for him to wear to celebrate...


We got him a palm tree shaped treat and a new toy and he loved them! He was jumping all over the place because he knew he was getting a new toy!




He loved his toy and wouldn't let anyone touch it!



and yes.....he hated the party hat. lol.


We took him to the park later on in the day so he could play around. This picture looks like Seth caught some sort of fat furry fish!


It was fun! We had a great week of birthday celebrating!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SETH!!

We got to celebrate both of my boy's birthdays this week! Seth turned 24 on the 6th and Baloo turned 1 (or 7 in dog years) on the 7th.



Baloo helped with the decorations.


On Seth's birthday I got up and made him some homemade bread...which he ate about a half a second later! I also made him some yummy green cupcakes



We had a BBQ at our house with a couple of friends and played an all-out game of CRANIUM!! Seth got really excited because the boys won...

Skydiving!

Today I took Seth skydiving for his birthday, along with the Dixons. And I'm still alive!! It was a blast. When our instructors found out we had gone before, they told us we could do a backflip out of the plane. I told my instructor that I wanted to do crazy tricks when we jumped out, and he actually took me seriously and was excited to jump. I was stupid enough to bring up my digital camera in my pocket, but was too nervous to remember to get it out to take a picture of Seth jumping out backwards! Darn. I wasn't nervous until I saw Seth just ...fall out! It was nuts!! Then my crazy tandem instructor told me to do a backflip and out we went! I gave a nice, loud, piercing scream before we went out...haha. We did so many flips I got super dizzy, and then we did a ton of side flips....I swear we were free falling forever! When we pulled the chute I remembered my camera and took a couple pics of the view. Can't believe I didn't drop it. And I ended up landing before Seth....who jumped out like 10 seconds before me....?? Everything seems so LAME after skydiving. I love these birthday skydives!!! We'll have to turn this into some sort of tradition. The coolest thing though was seeing this 65 year old lady do it before us. We're totally doing this for our 60th anniversary or something. 

We had to wait 3 hours before jumping because a huge tourist group got there before us, so they gave us free t-shirts. yay!

A couple weeks ago we went to Waimea falls since we've never been there....it was a really easy walk to the waterfall. Here are some pics from our hike/walk...

Aloha Friday

I think spring is the worst semester/term. Yes, it is only a month and a half....BUT classes are twice as long and you have twice as much homework! I had the hardest time sitting through 2 hours of physics in class this week......there is only so much a brain can take in one day! lol. It's only been 3 days and I'm already tired and happy I made it 'till friday. YES!! haha.


and yes... tomorrow I'm jumping out of a plane. And I'm going to try to bring my digital camera so I can get some pictures of Seth !!
